The need of today's generation is not just inspirational words but also impactful words. Inspirational words can only give you a positive feeling whereas the words that impact will cause the real effect of positivity.
Welcome to my blog, the power of molding.
This blog showcases a real story of me from 3 different consecutive years. Through these stories let's understand the power of molding.
One random day of 2018, a classmate of mine came to me and started speaking casually. After a while, she said that her dance teacher had given her homework to write about her teacher. She politely asked if I could write it on her behalf. I agreed and did the needful.
On the Monday of next week, she came holding a medal in her hands. She placed the medal on my hands and said that it belonged to me. I thought, she had won her classical dance performance and that's what the medal is for but why is she giving it to me? Later I got to know that the medal was given to her for writing an essay on the topic My teacher. I had written that so she was willing to give the medal to me. I was surprised.
I asked, “Was it an essay competition or homework?” This question was worth asking but it remained unanswered till now. I left the question behind and asked her to owe the medal.
After that I recalled every word that I had written. What surprised me was that I didn't know the teacher. I asked my classmate to describe her teacher and based on her account I imagined and brought them in written form. I didn't know that those words would bring happy tears to that teacher's eye and make her happy for all the work she has done through her talent of classical dancing. I thought to myself, in just 10 minutes, how did I come up with words that would melt a teacher's heart and make her reward it with a medal? Can Evangelin write? Cut short of the story, I felt happy and left that incident there without taking it seriously.
The following year, I again got an opportunity to write an essay about my favorite teacher and I wrote it and won a prize too. I don't know what connection I have with essay writing about a teacher which hasn't left me without a reward.
I kept writing essays and they kept rewarding me but the rewards I got didn't make me realize the gift of writing God has given me and through which I can speak hope to hopeless, light in the darkness and life over death.
The next year, I got into a situation that put me into crushing, got me burnt in the fire furnace and molded me. I can't exactly mention the story but I can describe the pain and the lesson it taught me. All I could see was four walls around me and tears kept flowing like a river. I screamed, I cried like a mad in the bars of pain. Is this the reward a person gets for saving a person from death? Is this the reward a person gets for showing a selfless attitude? In the end, all sacrifices became useless.
On one hand the situation left me broken but on the other side, it taught me the pain of helplessness, the pain of sacrificing, the pain of brokenness, the pain of being put to shame without a mistake, the pain of the reward that one receive for the selfless attitude, the pain that could even make one end his/her life, the pain that could crush life completely with no good future, the pain of negativity.
From then I started to understand the pain today's youths are suffering through. It was the molding that made me understand the gift and the assignment that God has assigned to me.
It wasn't the rewards that taught me the power of words but the molding. It wasn't the prizes I received for my words that made me realize the gift of words that I'm blessed with to speak over negativity and nothingness but the molding.
The biggest reward I received from my times of molding is that I understood the purpose of my life and eventually it led to living my calling within the next few years.
Today, you might be experiencing some worse days. Understand that you are put to molding not to get crushed in life but to make you the finest gold. The best version of you. If you try to escape from the process of molding, you will miss the shine of the pure gold. You might think that this is the end. No, it's just the beginning, the best is yet to come. The result may not be shown now but there's a time, the best result will unfold. Your hope will never go in vain.
It's the sorrow that makes you understand the worth of happiness. It's the molding that makes you understand the worth of the shine of a pure diamond. The pain that I went through made me realize the need of consolement many people required and the need to understand the gift of living.
You are in the Potter's hand. Just like the clay that surrenders itself to the potter, to make it into a useful pot, surrender yourself to the potter, he will give you shape, shine and make you a useful vessel.
The worst of the scenarios you are experiencing today might lead you to the biggest purpose God has planned for your life.
Shake the dust off, it's not the crushing but it's the cleansing. It's not meant to hurt you but to mend you and design you with the best. Don't give up. Understand the phase. Run to the goal. You will not miss out on the best things that are on your way.
The greatest outcome of a molding is, it'll not just bring blessings to you but make you a blessing. It'll not just cleanse you but also make you shine purely. It'll make you a light so that you can be a light in someone's darkness.
You will never know what the Potter's hand can create unless you surrender to it.
I hope you are encouraged with these words and please don't forget to share your feedback below in the comments. If you have found this blog useful, please share it with others.
Thank you.
God bless you.
